MENORRHAGIA: Irregular Periods.

First off, I am 16 years old. I started my first period when I was 11 or 12 and everything was normal. Medium bleeding for about 5 days near the end of the month every month. Then about a year and a half ago, every now and then I'd skip a month then I'd be regular for a few months time then I'd have two periods in a month then return to being normal for a few months time. Last year I went to my doctor and she said that as for now, it's not uncommon for this to happen in teenagers and that I shouldn't worry and that my body will regulate itself. Well, it did for many months. Recently, this past June, one of my periods was late. Then for one week, it felt and smelled like I was on my period but there was absolutely no blood at all. Not even a tiny bit. In mid-late June, I had about three days where there was a little bit of bleeding. Then again this month, I had about three days of very little bleeding completely not on schedule of what I usually am. Question is, is it okay for periods to suddenly change from 5 days of medium flow to three days of very little flow? And should I see my doctor again or wait out another month or two to see what happens? I am not on any type of birth control or medication. And help is appreciated!

THANKS! =] ~Brat
