GYNECOLOGIC: Lack Of Orgasm Due to Spinal Injury? From: Anon (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 10 Jul 2007 08:49:54 -0500 (CDT)
Hi All Please can you help me...I have asked so many Drs now and no one can give me advice or help. The problem is that 3 years ago I broke my back it was a compression fracture of L1 and L2 I had a fusion from T12 to L3. i was told that I was now a paraplegic and would never walk again, I have however managed to recover well enough to walk with out any aids...however I have lost my bladder control and have to self cathertarise every day...my bowels are reliant on Laxatives and I have lost the ability to orgasm. This is a very big problem in my marriage as i have lost my sex drive and used to enjoy a very active and healthy sex life with my hubby. He is getting very frustrated with me and I am sure that there is some sort of treatment to increase my sensation down there. My clitoris has also 'shrunk' and does not have as much sensation but there is some. We have tried lubricants that supposedly increase sensation and they don't seem to help. I used to achieve orgasm easily through masterbation and now I get to the 'peak' and then it all disappears...I feel relaxed and flushed like i have had an orgasm yet I do not 'feel' it. Please help me I am desperate as it is causing a rift in my marriage. Thank you Anon
