YOUNGWOMEN: Decreasing bleeding during periods.From: Amruta (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 10 Jul 2007 04:05:52 -0500 (CDT)
Hello doctor, I am a 28 year old girl, unmarried. My problem is I get my periods only for two days n the bleeding is very much less compared to what I used to have. Previously I used to get bleeding for about four days and even on fifth day I would get some spotting. For the last two years, the amount of bleeding has decreased gradually, initially for 4 days, then 4-1/2 days, 3 days, and now 2 days. Even on the first day, I get about as much bleeding as I used to get on my third day before. I fear that one day i will stop getting my periods all together. However, my periods are regular and I do not have any pain or cramps whatsover. When i consulted this with my doctor about two years back, he said it might be because of stress that I was having. We did thyroid tests n CBC and all were normal. Right now I do not have any stress or other problems, but my problem is continuned n every month I am getting lesser bleeding. I am worried that this will create problem for pregnancy in future. I have never been on any pills nor have been sexually active. Please give me your advise on this. Regards,
