Did your provider explain to you why he/she was giving you the
medication ?
I would think that would be an important question to ask. Fibroids can
cause excessive bleeding. When you quit having periods, perhaps the
bleeding would stop, and a hysterectomy might not be indicated. There
are also other options that I am sure some of our gyns could comment
about. I personally avoid surgery, unless there are no other options
that present themselves. These days there are other options besides
surgery.
