Re: STD: COndyloma

I was diagnosed with the virus in the early 90's and have two beautiful daughters born after my dx. If I remember correctly, the only delivery issue would be if you had large clusters of condyloma surrounding the vaginal opening then they would do a c-section - this is rare. I breastfed both of my babies without concerns or affects.

As far I know my children do not carry the virus - my girls will receive the HPV vaccination on their 11 birthdays - the day they have their first appointment with my GYN. No exams obviously, just an opportunity to talk and get to know each other.

I wouldn't worry to much about the virus affecting your fertility or abitlity to give birth to and breastfeed healthy children

The only thing I can stress is to have yearly GYN exams and pap smears for your lifetime.

Best wishes
