I agree with this recommendation. you are too old to be taking the Birth Control Pill all the time, in my opinion. It has created an artificial period for all of these years, so who knows what will happen when you quit. At 44, you will start to change cycles anyway, so it is a moot point. I would welcome the recommendation. It will give you a better picture of what your cycles are like, and perhaps at some point you can quit using any method for birth control. In my experience, it won't necessarily push your further into menopause. Whatever will be will be.
