Hi everyone. This is my first visit to the site but so far, I love it. Ok, here's what I need help with. I have 2 kids (7 and 3 months old). At my 6 weeks postpartum appt. I asked my gyn doc for Mirena IUD since I don't want to have any more kids. She agreed. Fast forward, i've got the IUD inserted a week after. It was painful (more than the last cooper IUD I had before). I thought, probably because I haven't have sex and my uterus is small. Anyway, 1 week after, i was still in pain. I called the doc. office. The nurse said the IUD is getting settle in my body, it's totally normal. Ok, i left it alone. 4 weeks after, I went for the IUD check up. doctor couldn't find it. Ultrasound couldn't find it. then, she sent me to Xray. They found the IUD in my body but wasn't sure where exactly. Doctor send me to ultrasound again. Couldn't find it neither. Now, she wants me to have the surgery to remove it. Is this normal? Please advice? Thanks
