LAP: Bleeding for 5 weeks after lapFrom: concerned (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 25 Jun 2007 14:09:02 -0500 (CDT)
I am on a continuous birth control pill and take it religiously at the same time each night and NEVER miss a pill. I had a lap and lysis of adhesions in October and I am scheduled for another one in July for Lysis of Adhesions. Apparently my adhesions have come back. The last time I had a lap, I bled very heavily for about a week to two weeks and then had light bleeding for 3 more weeks. Is this normal? I am not supposed to have periods because of endo that is why I take a continuous pill. I am worried that the same thing will happen again. Why did I bleed so long? My obgyn said the drugs from the surgery threw everything off. However, I had knee surgery 3 months later, and had no problems with bleeding. I didn't have any bleeding from that surgery.
