I am on birth control, and my periods are usually only a few days due to this. It did seem like a period, although that would have been right in the middle of my cycle (and very long). I have always had fairly normal cycles and had my last period, on time, right before the procedure was done. I talked to my doctor during the week while I was bleeding and she said not to worry, that was normal due to the scab coming off, etc. which made me believe it wasn't my period.
