Is the tear bleeding? If it is a shallow, superficial tear, it will heal up just fine, on its own. This is a very vascular area. But some providers don't stitch something like this. It most likely won't affect intimacy, as the area heals up very quiclkly. I guess you noted it after the birth, and are wondering why it wasn't stitched. I might have put one or two stitches in it just to guide the edgers together. It's a toss up. Vaginas are made to heal quite well, and you will be amazed.
