I am an Olympic athlete seeking a birth control method that will not cause me to retain water. I'm on Micronorve, but it causes me problems to get off of it, and I feel as though it increases my appetite. If I stay disaplined this is not a problem. I like it because there is no estrogen, and a testosterone based progestin in the bcp. One hormone. I don't know what to think of Yaz, estrogen, and the different type of progestin. How will it affect my performance as an athlete? Power/Sprint And will I retain water? No one seems to know how the hormones will affect a Power Sprint Athlete.
