Hello. I'm 23 years old and have always had irregular periods. I would go months without even the hint of PMS or a period. Then all of a sudden I would get a very heavy period. In 1999 I went to the emergency room because of heavy bleeding and they gave me IV fluids. 4 years later I was put on Apri Birth Control pills and had regular periods. I've had one pap smear that came out normal the same day that I was prescribed the Apri and the Progesterone (to start my period). It's been 3 years since I was put on the Apri and everything was going fine. But yesterday I was sitting on my bed and suddenly I felt very hot and I started sweating all over and my hands felt clammy. It lasted about 20 minutes. I did some research on hot flashes in young women and my symptoms seemed to match. Any advice I receive will be taken seriously. Thank you for your time.
