ONCOLOGY: Endometrial hyperplasiaFrom: Me (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 11 Jun 2007 19:30:57 -0500 (CDT)
Have a question as to how quickly an endometrial biopsy should be done. Had pelvic ultrasound Apr 30 which showed 9mm thickening. Am 49 yrs old. On HRT for about 5 years, with progesterone every 90 days. Saw ob/gyn May 17. Was unable to do biopsy in office due to cervical thickening. D&C and hysteroscopy is being scheduled but being told may not happen till middle of July. Have history of anal CA from 5 years ago, had radiation therapy so I'm menopausal. Is this too long to wait for biopsy? If you haven't already guessed I'm in Canada. Thanks.
