I was diagnosed with Endo in March. I had a Laporoscopy done to confirm the Endo. A month after my surgery, my pain came back. So my doctor decided to put me on Lupron. 3-month supply. I have had two shots so far. Do a lot of research! That's one thing I can say. Support groups (online) are great, they have gotten me through many difficult days. After my first shot (I got it when I started my period); my period slowed and then stopped a couple of days later. The thing that I noticed right away was being dizzy. My mind was foggy and my vision was blurred. I did not drive for two weeks even though the worst part was the first few days. I got hot flashes almost immediatly. The first month was more of a nussance. The second month, just so far, they have gotten stronger, including night sweats where I wake up every hour throughout the night. Most of the pain has subsided, although I still have stabbing pains and just recently I feel like it is starting to return completely. I do not track my weight, I probably should, however the last 2 weeks, I have been serverly bloated. Feet, ankles, hips, and abdomen. As far as the emotional side effect, for me...I have had mood swings/trouble controlling my emotions, I try to keep that in control though. Lupron is different for everyone. Know what to expect and pray that it goes as smoothly as possible. I wish you great luck!
