GYNECOLOGIC: Something protruding in my vagina

Okay, I am a fairly educated woman. I have a healthy sex life with my husband. I have finally gotten curious enough to have a look at myself down there. I waited until he went to work, got out a mirror and had a good look. Now I have a question. When I look into my vagina(I know the what the labie minora are and that's not what I'm talking about) it's like there is this small protrusion. If I flex my pc muscles I can almost make it come out. I have never heard of anything like this. It is almost as if the opening on my vagina is not lined up with the rest of it. Does that make sense? I was completely happy with how I look until I decided I'd see what was on the inside. Now I'm freaked out! I have annual pap smears and have never been told anything is wrong, so I'm sure I'm "okay". I just want to know what the heck that thing is!
