Re: OVARIANCYSTS: GYN Effect of Lumbar Cortizone InjectionsFrom: grateful mom (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 4 Jun 2007 21:53:21 -0500 (CDT)
I would seriously doubt that this has anything to do with the injections. I would however speak to your gyn soon. How old are you? Are you on birth control? If you are post menopausal and spotting and with a thickening endometrium you may need a few tests done in the office. They may want to watch the cyst for a couple of cycles and see if it resolves itself or they may want to do a laporoscopy to remove it. Both options are reasonable and overall not a big deal physically. They may suggest a CA-125-which is NOT a good indicator of ovarian cancer - just a CYA test. Make an appt. with your GYN and ask lots of questions. Good Luck
