Re: PCOS: PCOFrom: Pat Sonnenstuhl (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 29 May 2007 10:01:41 -0500 (CDT)
I am confused why you started your pills on the 10th day after your period. That explains why you are having bleeding. You need to start the new package of pills early in your cycle, after your period comes. Some folks start them on the first Sunday of their period, or the first day of their period. But, starting them in the middle of your cycle makes no sense. What was your purpose ? I am curious why you did that. The first few months are sometimes challenging when starting pills. That is why I don't recommend it for the way you are using them. Just about the time your body gets adjusted you stop taking them. Again, they are an artificial method, and it sounds like you need to really discuss the use with your gyn provider. You are off cycle with the pills. It isn't surprising that you aren't having a period. I would stop them, and wait until you do have a period and then start them at the appropriate/correct time. Please discuss with your gyn provider.
