CANCERSIGN?: Excessive Bleeding..abnormal lump..family history of cancer..

I have had irregular periods all of my life, so had my mother and grandmother. Mine run about 8-12days long depending and consist of mostly heavy bleeding days. (I will run through several packages of overnight pads in the course of one period.) This is usually quite painful. I have never been diagnosed with endodemetriosis or anything of the sort.

My Mother passed away not long ago of Stage IV Endometrial Cancer. My Grandmother had breast cancer, and they believe that it originated from the endometrial cancer as it had spread throughout her body through her lymphatic system. Every one of my grandmother's 4 sisters also died of breast/endometrial cancer.

I should also add in that my Dad's side of the family (He did not raise me, so I do not have as much knowledge.) also had quite a history of these types of cancer. In specifically, a paternal aunt who has suffered frequent battles with breast cancer. This, I hope, has effectively laid down the history is very frequent.

I am concerned that I may already have one or both types of cancers. I have a sizable lump in my right breast that has changed size and there is a discolored, misshapen area on the outside of my breast that has come about in the last couple of months. It has me very concerned.

I understand that I need to see a physician. At this moment, I do not have any medical coverage. (That shall soon be changing, as I am about to get married.) I have attempted to get mammogram/Pap..but due to owing money on a student loan..I do not have medical card. (And it appears, that regardless of history, I do not qualify for mammogram because I am not 35..sigh.)

I apologize for being so long-winded. I am coming to a point I promise.

Soon, I WILL be seeing a physician. And I was wondering, what kind of information should I being keeping track of? Is there anything I could/should provide my physician with that might make possible diagnosis/treatment any easier? Is there anything I might be able to do in the meantime to reduce the pain? Thank you.
