GYNECOLOGIC: Chronic inflammation-cervix-dysplsia CINII, again-Pap's cleanFrom: Terri (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 22 May 2007 07:27:44 -0500 (CDT)
I have posted two messages, and still waiting for someone to read and give me some advise. I have had intercourse pain for about 15 years now, use to be in certain positions, now in everyone. NP did yearly pap, and noticed cervix was EXTREMELY inflammed. Referred me to OB/GYN. Went to see him on April 27. Took two biospies from cervix (very painful) interior and exterior ( saw my cervix on the screen, looks like it needs a skin graft). OB/GYN prescribed antibiotic cream for 10 days, it was uncomfortable using as I could feel it hitting my cervix, it just gave me cramps. OB/GYN's office wants to see me on May 24. Called NP office to let them know, they had results of biopsies,I asked if she could see me and tell me what they were, went in to see her and said chronic inflammation exterior and dysplasia CIN II interior. I had laser surgery for dysplasia in 2003(CIN III). Had two paps a year for two years after laser and one every year since, everything is coming back fine, no infections or dysplasia, yet it's in biopsies, how can this be? That's what pap's are for, to catch it. I gave birth in Feb. 1999. They used gel to get labour started, three doses. Could it be from that, everything was alright (had pain but it was bearable)until that. Could the gel have "side effects" that they don't know about? I have been on birth control pill for about 17 years. Thinking very strongly of having hysterectomy (I'm 33), so I won't have this problem anymore. OB/GYN said at first appointment freezing cervix to see if that would help, then doing hysterectomy, I don't want cervix froze, don't see how that is going to help with chronic inflammation. NP said if it was her, and now that she has see biospy results, she would have hysteretomy and be done with it. I trust her opinion, she is very good. Anyone have any questions to ask when I go see OB/GYN, and advise on what to do? Thank you.
