PCOS: Peppermint Tea and Effect on Fetus

Although PCOS has been ruled out, I've had trouble with excessive hair, particularly on my face, and was prescribed Spirolact. It didn't really make a difference. Recently, I read the article below (from Web MD) about spearmint tea reducing hair growth. I tried it and it works quite well provided you keep drinking the tea. Since it does work, my question is whether that makes it unsafe to use during pregnancy? In a more extensive article from Britain, they say it binds with testosterone. Is that a problem for a male fetus? I really like not having a 5 o'clock shadow!
