GYNECOLOGIC: Ruptured ovarian cyst pain

A week ago Monday I had an US that showed a 2.7cm simple cyst on my right ovary. I had been sent for the US because I had been experiencing on and off pain in my lower right abdomen. I saw the OB/GYN on Thursday who told me that the cyst was normal but we would recheck it 6 weeks. She gave me Percocet for the pain. That night, I experienced HORRIBLE sharp pains in my right side and took 2 percocet which barely touched it. I figured it burst. Because the pain had not completely subsided the next day and the percocet made me feel ill, I called the OB/GYN offices to 1) ask if the continued pain was normal and 2) if I could get a replacement for the percocet. They told me the cyst should not have caused this much pain given it's size and that I should try motrin and go to the ER if it was that bad because they felt it probably wasn't GYN related. Since that time, I still have intermittent sharp pains on my right side, am bloated, and feel very tired. I will also add that I had a tubal ligation in OCT of 2003 (which later failed), my gallbladder removed in July 2006 and an appendectomy in Aug 2006. I had two large dermoid cysts removed from my ovary when I was 17 (I am now 38) and had a second laparoscopy two years later due to painful adhesions. My concern is that the pain, while not overly horrible (say a 3 on a scale of 1 - 10), it is persisting. After my last conversaion with the OB/GYN's office, I feel like they shut me down without listening to my concerns and that even if the cyst burst it should be of no concern. I do not know where to go from here and any advice you can give me would be tremendously appreciated. M
