EPISIOTOMYPAIN: 2 Years Later...Episiotomy PainFrom: Meg (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 6 May 2007 19:32:04 -0500 (CDT)
I vaginally delivered my daughter 2 years ago and after 2 1/2 hours of pushing the episiotomy was performed. Until now I have had no problems with the sight of the incision. The start of my period this month was accompanied by a severe burning feeling as well as swelling of my scar. The skin is tender to the touch. In the past I have had itching spells during my periods but never the burning or swelling. If anyone is familiar with this sort of thing please let me know. Thanks!
