GENERAL: Passing Tissue, not miscarriageFrom: Jennifer (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 5 May 2007 22:46:20 -0500 (CDT)
I had a vaginal delivery 4 months ago. I haven't really had a period since then, but since I'm breastfeeding that is normal. I did have one day when I thought I was having a period last month. I had normal menstral like bleeding for a day, then it stopped. Recently I began to bleed again (about a month later) and a passed tissue about the size of a quarter. There is no way that this could be a miscarriage since I haven't had sex since I gave birth (husband is deployed). I didn't know if this was something that I should seek medical attention about or if it was a common occurance postpartum.
