The gas pains were the worst for me. Listen to your body while recovering and take it easy if you feel the need.

The only thing I can stress is keep moving after surgery as much as you can. Walk, walk and walk. Drink lots of water, no carbonated bevs and don't use a straw. Take GasX Extra Strength and a stool softener (no laxative). The gas pain that settles under your shoulder really hurts.

I have had 2 laps and no bruising whatsoever. Your throat might be sore from the anasthesia.
