Nothing at all to be ashamed of. Please contact your gyn provider for further evaluation. It might be associated with the pituitary gland, and need evaluation. It isn't normal. It is probably not serious, and controllable, but does need further evaluation, especially if you aren't pregnant or breastfeeding.
