CHRONICPAIN: cervix pain-inflammed cervic-hysterectomy at 33?From: Terri (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 29 Apr 2007 21:58:23 -0500 (CDT)
I have had pain during intercourse for about 15 years, have been with husband for 12 years. Had stage III cervical dyplasia amost 4 yrs ago. Had laser surgery, everything was fine. Now I'm having extreme cervical pain during intercourse, and sometimes spotting afterwards, use to be in some positions, now in every position. Went to OBGYN, cervix extremely inflammed, almost like all the nerves are exposed, said cervix was turning inside out, huh?, put q-tip in cervix and almost jumped off table, pain was BAD!Feels like everything inside is getting twisted and ripped out. OBGYN wants to freeze cervix, took biopsies from outside of cervix & in. Gave me antibotic cream, even though he doesn't think infection, THINKS it's from laser surgery. He wants to freeze cervix ( don't want him to, will hurt to bad, don't think it will help) and see if that helps if not he said hysterectomy..I'm only 33, normal periods, no pain otherwise. Please help. Gave birth to daughter, only problem with that was fast deleviery, gave me gel to get labour started. Had no pain meds during labour, except at 91/2 cm so wounld't push, can handle pain, but this is too much. Please help, wants to freeze cervix in three weeks.
