STD: HPV

About 17 years ago my gynecologist found that I had genital warts and treated them, and they have never come back. Also, about 12 years ago I had dysplasia, which is now known to probably have been caused by the HPV virus, but I have not had any recurrence since then, either. Is it possible that I can still transmit HPV to someone else after all these years?
