MENSTRATIONCHANGES: My period went from 5 days to 2 days ( on its own) !!From: P (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 9 Apr 2007 06:51:30 -0500 (CDT)
I am 33 years old. Have 2 kids, ages 10 and 6. Last year, I started taking ortho novum-low birth control pills for like 5 months. After, I stopped taking them I noticed that my face had brown pigment blotches on my forehead. Also, my period went from 5 days(3 heavy days, 2 light days) to 1 and 1/2 days. My menstration is very light, dark almost a black, dark color like tar. I am not pregnant. I keep buying pregnancy tests!! I have sore breasts all the time. I went to my OBGYN and she did a hormonal test and told me everything was normal and that I should be happy that my period only lasts 2 days. I am concerned that my uterus isn't "shedding" properly and I'd like to know what I can do to find out what's going on. I never had these problems in the past. My period had always been like clock work. Now its punctual even though its brief and off by a day or two.
