MENORRHAGIA: Lengthy (but important) question: PART IIIFrom: Krissy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 6 Apr 2007 02:30:03 -0500 (CDT)
(continued from part II) ...Frankly, I was so flabbergasted by the whole thing -- her mention of my "post-menopausal estrogen/testosterone levels," the fact that she seemed to figure out what was wrong in 5 minutes (as opposed to 5 months with the other doc), that I probably didn't ask as many questions as I should've -- nor did I give her the laundry list of symptoms/reasons I'd gone to the endo in the first place. But now that I've had time to sit on all of this, I do want to know some things: *Am I actually in premature menopause or POF?? *What could/would cause this OTHER than a supposed "low body fat %" ? *How can my chances of eventual conception be "well over 90%" seeing as how I didn't have a single period over the 4.5 months I was off of BCPs? *If I'm not menopausal/POF, then what else could all of this be? *Do I need to see a specialist? *Since I do want children, could this be something that gets progressively worse and so the sooner I try, the better? I'm thinking of giving her a call and filling her in on my other symptoms, plus what the endo's course of action (such as it was) was -- but I've sooo exhausted my medical insurance that I can't afford another visit or a charge for a test. That is why I'm BEGGING you, dear reader, who has stuck with me through this insanely long rant, to help steer me in the right direction! Thank you for taking out the time to read/reply everyone, and of course, for being so patient with me! --Krissy
