Why would you want to treat something that is only suspected? If the Dr. is skilled in the treatment of Endometriosis via laparoscopy, it may help tremendously with your symptoms. I had periods that were unbearable. I couldn't move for three days. I had a lap with my then GYN, whom I adored, however, he wasn't able to remove all of the Endo he found. A month later, I was back to square one. I then went to an Endometriosis Specialist who went in and removed Endo that was left behind. It made a world of difference for me. There are times where surgery is not recommended and you go with medical management via medications. If there aren't such circumstances in your case, then I say go for the surgery.
