Menopause is when you don't have periods for a year. Sometimes women start skipping months at a time, and this is the beginning. 41 is a little early, but certiantly some women do stop periods in their 40s. Be sure to use birth control just in case, because sometimes the hormones kick in and a pregnancy can occur. Is there a history of early menopause in your family ? That is another indicator. Of course, if you are concerned, contact your GYN provider, and just keep track of when you have bleeding, and other symptoms. Pat
