PREGNANCY: Low body temp while pregnant?From: Mal (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 28 Mar 2007 10:20:24 -0500 (CDT)
I'll be 38weeks pg with #4 on Friday. For the past few days, I've been overly hot and sticky/clammy. I assumed it was the warmer weather spell combined with being pregnant and didn't think much of it. But yesterday we spent the day at the zoo, I had lots of contractions (that subsided after we got home and I rested) but I was still overly hot by the time I went to bed. Due to allergies, my air conditioning has been on in the house for over a week, set at 68...and my family is complaining that it's too cold. I took my temp last night before bed and it read 96 under one arm and 96.8 under the other. This morning (after breakfast and moving around quite a bit), it read 96.8 in my mouth. Is this concerning? I thought during pgcy, typically the body temp is elevated. No other unusual symptoms, no swelling, etc. I do have hypothyroid but I've been diligent about taking my Synthroid and the levels were just checked within the last two weeks (and came back within target). Thanks, Mal
