PREGNANCY: Ovulation Predictor and BBTFrom: WannaBaby (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 21 Mar 2007 18:14:50 -0500 (CDT)
I had a miscarriage 1/16/07 (at 8 weeks). On 1/30/07 I had an ultrasound and the doctor told me I was about to ovulate again within a couple of days. I started using OPK on 1/29/07 and just got a positive result 3/18/07, then again 3/19, 3/20, and today 3/21 for the 1st time since the miscarriage. On 3/20 I saw the first thermal shift on BBT since the miscarriage. On 2/12/07 I had very light bleeding (about the size of a quarter) and that continued 2/13, and 2/14. Prior to the miscarriage I had regular cycles of about 32 days with ovulation ocurring around day 20. According the the temp rise after the 1st positive OPK, I ovulated on day 39 (assuming that the 3 days of very light bleeding counts as starting a new cycle) So did I ovulate (as the doctor said my ultrasound showed) a few days after my dcotor's appointment? Why is the OPK positive for 4 days, including after the temperature rise? I read that a positive OPK could indicate pregnancy. Should I go ahead and do a pregnancy test or should I wait for at least 14 days of high temps? Any insight would be helpful. Thanks
