I am not a Dr., but I had a vaginal hysterectomy 2 years ago for a large fibroid and that was one of my biggest worries, too. I avoided it because of that. I heard stories of being "Frigid" and all else. I think everyone woman is definitley different, but for me, it made sex better. Why? Because I wasn't bleeding all the time anymore and because sex didn't hurt because of the fibroid and the bleeding. I found my orgasms to be more intense then before. But most of all, I was more comfortable because of everything I described before. I am so glad I did it. Good luck with everything. I truly believe everyone is different and the Dr. can answer all your questions, too. Don't be afraid to ask. Good Luck!
