Low blood pressure in teenage girls

Our pediatrician said that my 13 year old daughter's blood pressure is on the low side, but is not concerned. The nurse said this is very common in young women. Can you tell me why this would be? Her weight is normal for her height and she exercises daily. Her eating habits are not perfect but they are much better than those of her friends. She does not take any medication.

Thank you!
