pap smears/cervical cancer

Hi, I am a woman who was diagnosed with chlamydia many years ago (I think it was called that-vaginal warts). I had read that it increases my risk of cervical cancer. They burned the warts off, but I have noticed that for several years I have these hard lumps on my cervix. I keep getting pap smears, and they keep telling me that the results are normal, but I have a hard time feeling reassured. The reason for my concern is this: a few years back, I saw a documentary on 20/20 or a similar program talking about the labs that these slides are sent to. Many of these labs were paying their employees by the slide rather than by the hour. Because of this, a lot of employees were claiming that they had analyzed many more slides than they actually had, and a lot of slides were not even getting looked at. Because of this stupid way of doing things, there were quite a few people who didn't get their ailments diagnosed in time to fix the problem. Therefore, I am terribly worried that the labs are still being run the same way as they were then. Do you have any knowledge about whether this practice has changed? Are lab employees being paid hourly now? In case this helps at all, my latest pap smear slide was sent to Quest Diagnostics Clinical Laboratories. I sincerely hope you can offer me the reassurance I seek. Thank you in advance for your time!
