Jessika, Having been plauged with these issues I can relate to your frustration. I am no doctor but a ph of anything above 4.5 is abnormal and is indicative of BV. The only way to diagnose it for sure is looking at it under the microscope. I would not go back and see this dr. As far as having two infections, it happens. I was getting recurrent bv when I was using latex condoms and once I switched to polyurethane they stopped. That is just me. If you use condoms, try switching to a different brand and do not use ones with spermicide. that could be throwing things out of wack perhaps.I would abstain from sex until you have finished all the meds. Are you new to the hormonal birth control? Some women experience an increase in yeast infections when on the pill and such. Have you taken any new meds lately? Changed soaps or laundry detergents? this could be irritating you as well.
