Persistent Yeast Infection?????From: zipzap (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 17 Sep 2003 22:27:32 -0500 (CDT)
For the past 3 months I have been suffering with vaginal problems which the doctor says is yeast but doesn't seem to go away. I had rectal itching as well which started after I started taking Yasmin )a months course). I first took diflucan a few times and the problem would clear but come back. Finally the gyn put me on Lactinex (acidophillus) to take orally and vaginally for a month. During the month I would have the symptoms get better or worsen again but they haven't cleared up. My symptoms are sometimes slight itching, sometimes burning or swelling and/or red skin. The rectal itching has surely been better. I've been taking quite a bit of yogurt and trying not to take sweets or alcohol. I have an appointment with the GYN again in the next 2 days and I am wondering if there is anything I need to ask him to specifically check or do? Does this sound like yeast? I am soooo tired of having this problem. I would really appreciate inputs. Thanks
