Hi Diane,

I too have ORS. I am assuming that you have endo too? You can try taking birth control pills on a continuous basis. I would still be on them, but I had an increase in migraine headaches. I also tried Prometrium, but that caused depression for me. Lupron was suggested, but that is not a cure, only a temporary help at best. Right now I am hoping that menopause will come soon and put an end to this problem.

If you attempt surgery, make sure you have a surgeon that can find a needle in a haystack. A surgical gyn oncologist might be your best bet, if you don't have an endo specialist in the area. They need to be able to deal with bowel and ureter problems if they arise. Make sure that you are completely bowel prepped (antibiotics too). You can also use clomid to try and stimulate the remnant/s to make them more visible. Just be aware, that it is possible they may not be able to get it/them all out intact. This is why I have not gone down the surgery route again.

Are you on ERT? If you are, get off it and see if that helps at all the with pain.

I know it is very frustrating finding out about this after thinking everything was removed. I hope this info helps. Write back if you have more questions. Best wishes, D.N.
