Previous message: Asem Anwar Moussa MD: "Re: Polycystic Ovaries and Amenorrhea" I am 26 and have had 2 abortions. My gyn put me on Ovral-L from last month. This is the first time I am taking birth control pills. Though I had no problems in the first month of the pills but my periods after finishing the first pack were longer and more painful than my natural periods. Also, in the week that I did not take the pills, I experienced pain in lower back. I am perfectly healthy and have never had such a pain in my life. Into the second month now, I think I have lost some weight, have back pain often and also feel the my sexual drive has reduced. Please suggest if I should see my doctor immediately or take pills for 3 months ( as she had suggested ) and meet her after 3 months.
