I had a hysterosalingogram. I don't know what the difference in these two procedures are exactly but I think they are very similar (maybe one is xray and the other is ultrasound). I hurt a little when the inserted whatever it is they insert into the cervix and then it was just a sharp cramp that lasted about 30 seconds when the ink filled up my uterus. It wasn't anything extreme at all. There was no anesthesia. It was alot like a yearly exam with x-rays. I did searches through Google and read about the procedure...That is the best way to learn all of the details you are looking for. Here is a website that describes the test step by step: http://www.drleon.net/SIS.shtml.
