Hi,

I am not a doc, but I am perimenopausal, and it sounds like you are too. During perimenopause, FSH levels fluctuate a lot. I too have had a test (high FSH/low estradiol) come back in the menopausal level and hot flashes, but I know my estrogen levels go back up again because the hot flashes will subside for a while and I will get sore breasts. Chances are you will still have more periods, but since you are starting to skip, that probably means you are getting further along into perimenopause. I hope this info helps.

Best wishes, D.N.
