Micronor problems!From: Helen (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 7 Sep 2003 10:03:25 -0500 (CDT)
Im 26. Been on Micronor for 6 mths. Its driving me mad. Even without the pill I get breast tenderness in the week preceding the onset of my period but Micronor makes it too painful to WALK for a week-10 days before the period. It keeps me up at night such is the tenderness! In addition my periods now last about 10 days, are extremely light and brown. Im British and over here things are different - you don't really ever go for gynae 'check-ups' under the age of 50 or so or unless you have a specific problem/symptoms whereaas I understand people go every year regardless in US(?)(In UK you are advised to see nurse for smear test every three - five years. Have yet to attend for one but intend to some time soon) Are my problems just normal Micronor side-effects or should I make an appointment with a doctor - bearing in mind it could be 6 - 10 months before I can be seen on NHS!! I am aware that I may be over-reacting and I am a med student (which makes me even more neurotic) so thought Id seek advice... Helen
