About a week ago I took the morning-after pill. I'm always extremely careful with contraception, but this time the condom slipped off as my boyfriend was witdrawing. It was not left completely inside me, however. I went and got the morning-after pill merely as a precautionary measure. In the last few days, which is around about the time my period is due, I've had cramps for several days without bleeding. Only yesterday did I start bleeding, but it's different than usual. There is very little blood when I am usually a heavy bleeder, and it is also very dark brown and tar-like. Is this because of the morning-after pill, or something else? I wouldn't be worried, except for the fact that usually when I get my period, I bleed very heavily for several days. Thankyou.
