It may be hormonally related. If you have recently started hormonal birth control, this may be the reason. Paradoxically, if you have not, then hormonal birth control may help. Also, other endocrinopathies, such as thyroid, adrenal and pituitary gland abnormalities can also cause this change. And, it could be normal physiologic change. Infection also needs to be ruled out.
