I have been having irregular periods for the last six months. I sometimes have two a month and they last anywhere from 4-7 days. My second period for the month of August started this past Monday and I went to my GYN doctor and she put me on birth control pills. Since I started using the pills my blood loss has been a lot more then normal. I can soak about a pad an hour and I have really huge clots. I usually have to run to the bathroom after I’ve been sitting for a while because there is a huge gush. There are a few times that I didn’t make it to the bathroom fast enough and I bled through my pad (and I use the overnight ones) Today is the sixth day that I’ve been bleeding and it’s just as heavy as the first. I want to know if this has happened to anyone else after taking the pills and if so how long will this last? I’m scared to go anywhere if fear of having an accident.
