Recurrence of cancer post hysterectomy?

I am 46 years old. I had a rather large cyst removed and a total hysterectomy 10 years ago. My doctor said there was a small cancer inside the cyst, I believe adenocarcinoma. I had no other treatment other than hysterectomy. When I went for my yearly checkup he told me he wanted me to get a CAT scan just to check things out because it had been 10 years. Now I am worrying again. Is there a large percentage that return? I am not getting the scan until January, due to finances. I thought everything was ok. Should I be worried? Is this normal procedure? Thanks for any input.
