Rectal Itching/ VaginitisFrom: zipzap (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 28 Aug 2003 00:08:51 -0500 (CDT)
For the past two months I have been having some problems with rectal itching/burning and vaginal yeast infections. Twice during my menses I have had rectal itching which has later resulted in vaginal inflammation. I normally wear Sanitary pads during my menses. I have shown the problem to a gyn and he says took a swab but since I had been using some creams he could not see much but when he checked the PH he said it was 4. So he put me on a course on Lactinex to insert one vaginally and one taken oraly for 30 days. I have gone through this course for 12 days so far and once again during my periods things got aggravated. The symtoms aren't really bad but still bothersome. I have been also taking more yogurt and buttermilk in my diet lately. I am 28 years old. I wanted to make sure the symptoms I mention seem more like yeast. Most of the problem I have is more of rectal itching then of vaginal itching. Also, is my husband at any risk of getting this through kissing or intercourse?
