Recent Hysterectomy w/reparative work-Dr.s answers requested

I had a TAH, paravaginal & posterior repair, sacrocalpopexy. Also listed on my info sheet is "burch" and "cysto." What do those mean? I understand what was done (On Aug. 18---still very, very sore and tired) but don't understand those two terms. They might be abbreviated.

I know I had a cyst on one ovary, apparently liquid filled and drained by my surgeon. Is that common? How can a surgeon tell for sure it isn't cancerous?

Also, would like to reccommend to other patients going with the epidural. No general anesthesia hangover to tend with and the pain management is just as good. I was allowed to be quite alert (by my request) during the surgery, was able to ask questions and converse with the surgical team.

Also was allowed to have my female chiropractor observe, which was great as I will continue to be a patient of hers as well. It was very comforting to know my surgeon was understanding enough to know that my requests were very important to me and was willing to let me have it my way as much as she could.
