3rd posting: Drs Please help! Preg. symptoms increasing after miscarriageFrom: CC (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 25 Aug 2003 21:30:58 -0500 (CDT)
I am 35y/0. I had a miscarriage 16 days ago, about the timing of my first missed period. I did not know I was pg until the miscarriage started - I did an EPT home test and got a faint line. I had some bleeding, but mostly very watery, gushing discharge. Dr. removed fetal tissue stuck in cervix. She did a transvag. ultrasound and said that the lining was a little thicker than normal, but I did not need a D&C. She gave me pills to take, but they caused intense muscle cramping throughout my whole body- so she said to stop them. I only had minor bleeding the day of the miscarriage, and the next day. At about 1 week post m/c, I called dr. cause I was having even more symptoms of pregnancy- breast tenderness, nausea, and tiredness. She said to wait 3 weeks and call her if I still felt this way. Well now it's 16 days, and I decided to do an EPT home test because my breasts are hurting even more. The line on the test is way darker than the day of the miscarriage!!! What does this mean? Could there be a mistake? I have been taking various meds and am worried in case there was some kind of mistake and I am still pregnant. She has not ordered any HCG tests. What could all of this mean?? Thanks for any input,
